Haha yeah, it seems Marvel is holding back a bit on Thor just to tease us! A little bit new stuff, but amazing none the less. I hope we get another full length trailer for Thor soon. It comes out in three months!

Didn't really like Thor's Chaos War tie in, still GLORY was a pretty cool concept I liked issue one, Thor does what Thor does best, smash a giant super ridiculously powerful monster beings. Although in general I liked both of them more than some of what else I read out of Chaos War. The Idea someone might actually pray to Thor seemed like something that would make sense considering he's one of the few dieties in that universe that regularly makes appearances. =P Shame we won't see that love interest again though. Anyone have any clue were the Destroyer is? That could have probably helped out in Thor 620 against the Uber Dark Gods, at least over the whacky warping spell Odin used.

I liked the first issue of Thor's Chaos War tie in a lot, but the second one I was not a fan of.
If you like the idea of people actually praying to Thor, you might want to check out (I can't remember which, or maybe it is both) the 'Gods and Men' and 'The Reigning' arcs in Jurgens' run on Thor.
Yeah, as if I wasn't already really excited to see Thor before, this second trailer has me so amped to see it. Only two months away!
Thanks.

You should, Thor was pulling off a Classic feel of an absolutely ridiculously one sided fight of a norse god vs a pantheon giant monster. To the Google Mobile.I have high hopes, even if it was terrible I'd probably still enjoy it. ((Hopkins Odin and the Destroyer? Yay!)

Astonishing is cool. The artwork makes the already cool story even cooler.

I think Choi's art is fantastic. The story is slow moving but has some cool characters in it like Stranger, Collector, Ego.

How many Thor titles are going right now? NO wonder they haven't had time for new trailers. :/

How many Thor titles are going right now? NO wonder they haven't had time for new trailers. :/ Thats good question, theres stories going into his past, stories going in his present title, stories going in Astonishing Thor, team ups and on hopefully one Avengers time atm even if he's making appearances in Fantastic Four, hulks and Thunderbolts. Thinks thats all that comes to mind, he's a busy God of Thunder.

Now that you mention it, he's probably in more comics right now than any other character.
He has at least a few minis still going on or just wrapped up, his main title, astonishing, avengers, and appearances in other titles like Clarke said.

Is First Thunder a new origin for him canon-wise or just a retelling for the sake of retelling it?

If I were to guess, it's more of a retelling with more detail added into it. Not necessarily a retcon, but just expanding on the origin a bit. Of course I haven't read it, so I don't know for sure, and quite honestly, I don't know how his official origin happened so don't quote me on anything.

I believe it is First Thunder...but if it is then yes, pretty sure it is a retcon/new/updated origin.

He was stone for a good chunk of it as the rest of Asgard was talking about how awesome he is. Although how Thor saved the day was nice, I liked that a lot. I think a good start with Thor was rebirth if you want to see essentially him fight his way back from the dead / void of non existence. Thats just cool, hell I could send you the scans to look at.

Yea he didn't do to much but it was at least pretty decent imo especially the ending i agree with on that pretty smart move.
