Thanks for making the thread, K4tz.
Did you read Iron Age # 2 yet?

No problem.
Currently reading it. The first issue was surprisingly enjoyable, so thanks for the recommendation. The art/coloring during the UK art was so good. Give that man an on-going, damn it!

Reading up on Iron Age now.
After having not read an Iron Man comic in nearly a year I've recently caught up to current in Invincible Iron Man and Iron Man 2.0. I'd have to say Tony is easily one of my favorite heroes. Though Extremis will always look better than Bleeding Edge to me.

I think it's better for you, since you were unaware of that main plot, which was otherwise spoiled in various interviews/previews and such. It's a cool idea, I just wish it would last a little longer seeing that it's pretty enjoyable for me, too.
@ Dane - I like Extremis but I favour the slick BE look, which is rather unique among his armory. Now, if only Tony was actually using it more in combat for us to see what the heck it can do, I'd love it.

Did Misty really just attempt to kick Iron Man in the face? lol

Extremis just had a great design to me. Bleeding Edge doesn't honestly look like it's made out of a tough, metal alloy. It looks too cartoony and I don't like the odd segments of yellow that seems out of place.
I fully accept that Bleeding Edge is statistically more powerful, but we got to see the effect of his Extremis upgrade straight away. His fight with that enhanced redneck was awesome. With BE it's kind of hard to see directly exactly how improved it is. It's more improved in the textual hyperbole sense.

Dane- I like the Extremis and Bleeding Edge looks a lot, but I think I prefer Bleeding Edge. It just seems more tech-y and advanced, and I like how it is all stored in the hollows of his bones.
I agree that we should have already seen exactly how much more upgraded he is since receiving BE, but we haven't seen almost any feats at all. Only one I really recall is his incredible reaction timing. ex:whenever he is about to die in an explosion (car explosion, doc ock missle, etc), he instantaneously is shielded because he 'transforms' into his armor.
quick question that I am very confused on. I think it was briefly explained but I forget....Does Tony wear actual clothes? Or are his clothes just synthesized into whatever he wants from the BE?

Well I think he wears clothes, but then again I've never seen them shredded once he turns into Iron Man. But he could summon his suit before using Extremis, it just wasn't all liquid metally.

Right, I knew he could do that with Extremis, and although that is cool that it just flies into the room or wherever he is, I think it is cool how it all just comes out from his body.
Let me get a couple scans....with BE when he goes from armor to clothes, and vice versa, it just looks like it materializes. Idk...I would like to get some more opinions on this, because even though it isn't really important, it really bothers me lol.

Hmm, well maybe it does.
I mean the Iron Spider suit he designed back in Civil War could do the same thing. It seems odd to me now that he gave Peter technology he hadn't yet incorporated into his own suit.

Iron Man #26 gives the answer: "It's not really clothes, Wyche. Don't worry. It's all part of the suit's mass, all stored in the hollows of my bones....it's a part of me now, inside and out." More scans now, just for fun: IIM #25 IIM #501 IIM #28

LOL, ckal. Yeah, you answered your own question. He doesn't seem to need regular clothing anymore. Makes me wonder if he could also shapeshift (as long as he doesn't need to substantially increase his mass) given his ability to emulate everything, from clothes to armor now.
I agree with you that BE looks more tech advanced, and I like that. Iron Man should be all about the future, and as long as the design isn't hideous, I think BE is a nice change of pace.
That's true. Its power is more so reliant on some statements as opposed to actually doing things. But that also has to do with Fraction's writing style, which favours a lot of dialogue and minimal action ever since he got the new armor.

Lol, yeah I haven't even thought about that. If he can create something like clothing and armor just based on thought, I'm sure he could make himself appear like other heroes (for example) as well. A smaller version of Thor lol.

I'd want to see a new Iron Man/Thor mini. Marvel's World Finest.

So do I. I thought DnA's ended up being a bit disappointing. It started out great.
